Philosophy

I’m not the therapist who just nods and listens.

I’m engaged, direct, and focused on helping you understand yourself better to facilitate change.

Rooted in depth psychology

Most of my patients come in already highly self-aware. They’ve done therapy before and can explain their patterns in detail, and yet nothing is really different. My work is rooted in depth psychology, but it’s not abstract or passive. Depth psychology focuses on the parts of your mind outside your immediate awareness. Instead of just managing symptoms, it helps you understand and change the deeper drivers behind your behavior. These underlying beliefs, emotions, and patterns quietly shape how you think, feel, and act. When you learn more about yourself in this way, you can begin to take more control over your life.

I pay close attention to patterns such as how you think, how you relate, what you avoid, and where you get stuck. I’ll point things out directly, in real time, so we can work with them as they’re happening. Patients often describe my style as direct, insightful, challenging, productive, nonjudgmental, and even humorous at times.

Insight matters, but only if it leads to change. So we focus on both.

Together, we’ll do insight-driven work

Translates insight into behavioral change

Challenges the narratives you’ve outgrown

Is psychodynamic, psychoeducational, and depth-oriented

Is spiritually informed and evidence-based

This is for you if…

You value honesty over comfort

You’re willing to look at yourself directly

You want results, not just reflection

You have had negative or traumatizing experiences in therapy in the past, but still need help

You will be supported, but you will also be pushed.
